Splash! for flute trio by David M. Sterrett is an impressionistic work depicting the image of a large, beautiful fountain. Largely inspired by Ottorino Respighi’s popular Fountains of Rome, this picturesque composition portrays a lively fountain show with choreographed jets of water, elegant and effervescent drops, and exciting bursts of water shooting off and splashing everywhere.
