Flute Specialists, Inc. in Clawson, Michigan is seeking a full-time Artist-in-Residence. The ideal candidate will be a flutist with excellent communication and organizational skills with a willingness to travel, learn and grow within the music industry. This is an on-site position.
Skills Required:
- Musical training with a preference for studies in flute at the collegiate level
- Studies or experience in small business or arts administration a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to function within a team, collaborative environment
- Superior organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Willingness to travel to events throughout the country
- Knowledge of flute repertoire
- Superior customer service skills
- Work experience or training in social media/marketing is a plus
- Competency on computer systems including Microsoft Office applications
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct sales consultations either in person, by phone or virtually
- Fulfill orders including selecting instruments, shipping and receiving
- Travel to events throughout the country as an exhibitor and presenter
- Online and in-person event management opportunities
- Contribute content and collaborate with the marketing and promotions team
This position is full time, on-site, in the Clawson, Michigan office only. Remote workers are not considered for this opportunity. Compensation commensurate with experience.
