Each Altus flute reflects the passion of Master Flute Maker Shuichi Tanaka to combine the finest materials and artistry with the finest playing flutes. The Altus flute, with its precise design and its renowned Altus/Bennet scale, offers excellent intonation, carefully-tuned harmonics and balanced registers, resulting in a remarkable sound. Since 1990 Altus flutes have been handcrafted from a beautiful, peaceful site at the base of the Japanese Alps.
